Many of our slides can be run wet or dry, and the choice usually comes down to four things: the forecast, your yard, the ages of your guests, and how much mess you are willing to deal with. A July birthday in Dallas is an easy call. An October church festival is the opposite call — same slide, no hose.

When Dry Is Better
- Cooler months — fall festivals, spring field days, and anything below the mid-70s
- No hose access at the venue, park, or parking-lot setup
- Covered or indoor-style venues where water is not allowed
- You want kids in regular clothes, with no towels, changing, or wet car seats
- Younger kids who are not ready for a splash landing
- Events with photos, uniforms, or a program right after

Grass is the best surface for either setup. For wet use, pick a spot with a little slope away from the house and away from the low corner where water already pools after a Georgia thunderstorm.
The forecast
Watch the temperature more than the clouds. Overcast and 85 is still a great wet day; sunny and 68 is not. Wind is the real deciding factor for whether we run at all.

Backyard birthdays lean wet in summer. School field days, church festivals, graduations, and corporate picnics more often run dry because guests are not dressed for water.
Practical Setup Notes
- Water source: a standard garden hose spigot within reach of the setup spot.
- Splash zone: plan for a wet landing area plus a few feet around it — keep cords, coolers, and speakers well clear.
- Drainage: avoid low spots; a gentle slope keeps the landing from turning into mud.
- Towels and changing: set out a towel station and a dry area so kids are not tracking water across the driveway.
- Surface: grass is ideal for staking. Ask us about other surfaces before booking.

Can your water slides be used dry?
Yes. Many of our slides can be run wet or dry depending on the weather and your venue. Just tell us which way you want it when you book so our crew sets it up correctly.
What do I need to run a slide wet?
A standard garden hose spigot within reach of the setup area and a spot in the yard that drains reasonably well. We connect the hose line at setup and show you how to control it.
At what temperature should I switch to dry?
Most Northwest Georgia families stop running water below the mid-70s. Kids get cold fast once the sun drops, and a dry setup keeps the same slide in play through fall.
Will a wet slide tear up my grass?
Expect a wet, matted patch under the splash area that usually recovers in a week or two. Choosing a slightly sloped, well-draining spot instead of a low corner of the yard makes a big difference.
Is dual-lane worth it over single-lane?
If you have more than a handful of kids, yes. Two lanes cut the wait in half and turn every turn into a race, which is why our dual-lane slides book out first in summer.
Can you set up a slide on concrete or asphalt?
